Brutal Bands is a record label that was established on September 13, 2002, with the goal of bringing quality death metal to the fore-front, in an industry flooded with sub-par releases. Our focus is primarily on death metal, and it's more extreme sub-genres. Expect nothing but high quality music, matched by superb production, packaging, and merchandise.
In addition to our releases being sold and distributed by 100+ labels, distros, stores, and wholesale buyers, we also have retail distribution partners in North America and Europe, as well as digital distribution worldwide.
Providing our talented roster with the attention they deserve, and proper studio support to deliver the indispensable quality our bands desire, is of the upmost importance to us. Live performances and touring are another essential part of our label, with agencies in North America and Europe working hard to bring our artists to stages around the globe.

Online Store Questions
How do I order items from the online store?
Simply click on the add to cart buttons next to each item to add items to your shopping cart. When you are finished, during the checkout process select your shipping country, provide your billing/shipping information, and then select your payment type.
What payment types do you accept?
We accept credit cards, paypal, money orders, and well hidden cash, all directly from our online store. Regardless of payment type, the process for placing orders is the same with the exception of the final step; the payment type.
Do you accept bank tranfers or Western Union as a payment option?
We do not accept bank transfers as a payment option. We will accept Western Union as a payment option, but only with an additional $5 service fee, and only if for whatever reason it is your only payment option. To place an order using Western Union, place your order directly through our online store and select Well Hidden Cash as your payment type. Then contact us immediately via email with your order number to let us know this is with a Western Union payment. We will respond with instructions to complete your payment.
Are the prices in the online store postage paid?
No, postage is calculated during the first part of the checkout process. Our shipping rates are not inflated and are based on the actual cost of postage to ship your order. Obviously the more items in your order, the less shipping will be on each item.
Is there any way I can get free shipping?
Yes. All orders that total over $300 include free shipping worldwide.
Do you ship worldwide and how long will it take for my order to arrive?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Orders are processed and shipped within 24 hrs of receiving your payment. If you're located in the US, your order should arrive 2-3 business days after it is shipped. If you're located outside of the US, your order should arrive 6-10 business days after it is shipped.
Do you ship CDs in jewel cases?
Yes. All CDs are in new, unbroken/cracked, jewel cases and shrink wrapped.
How will I know when my order has shipped?
If you provided a valid email address during the checkout process, you will receive an email when your order has shipped.
I placed an order, but never received an email confirmation, nor did I receive an email stating the item was shipped. Why is that?
Chances are your email server is blocking our emails. Please contact your email provider and tell them to not block email from brutalbands.com and from IP address 65.103.29.5.
Are the items in the online store in stock?
Our inventory is updated in real time. If our store stays the item is in stock, then it is in stock.
What are pre-order items?
Pre-order items are typically newer releases and merchandise that are available to order prior to the items being in stores. Typically pre-order items are available to be shipped 2-4 weeks before the actual release date. The date that pre-order items will be shipped are shown next to all pre-order items in our online store. Other items ordered along with pre-order items are typically shipped out right away, while the pre-order items will be shipped on the date stated next to the pre-order item in our online store.
I placed an order and received part of it, but some of the items were not included in the order. Why is this?
Chances are the items that were not included are pre-orders items not due to ship yet. Before contacting us about your order, please be sure to check and make sure that the missing items are not pre-order items that simply haven't shipped yet.
I placed a pre-order and today is the day that they are supposed to be shipped. But I have not received an email stating my pre-order was shipped. Why is this?
The pre-order ship date is the date that we start shipping pre-orders. Pre-orders are typically shipped out in the order that we receive them. And it is usually physically impossible to package them all up and ship them all in one day. So please be patient, your pre-order will ship out. If there is a problem with your order, you will be contacted via email. Sometimes there can be delays on us getting pre-order items in stock on time to ship them to customers on time. If this happens, we will post this in our news page and on our forum. So check there as well if you think your pre-order has been delayed.
I placed an order, but then you guys cancelled my order. Why is this?
Because we probably suspected your order of being fraudulent. If you placed your order using a credit card, and the country of your billing/shipping address doesn't match the country of the IP address where you placed your order, your order will be cancelled.
If I have a question about my order, and the answer can not be found here, can I cantact you about my order?
Yes, of course. When contacting us, please be sure to inlude your order number in the email.
I've got a question not found here, and I'm not getting a response. Why is that?
It is either because the answer can be found here, in our news or forum, or because we have responded but our email response is being blocked by your email provider. In this case contact us on myspace or with a PM in our forum.
Label Questions
Will you sign a band like ours?
Look at our bands and our releases, then ask yourself if your band is comparable. If the answer is no, then look elsewhere. If the answer is yes, then send us a demo using the contact info the the left. Don't contact us asking if you can send a demo, just send it. We do listen to everything. If we like it, then and only then will we contact you. If we don't like it then we will not contact you. Don't contact us asking us if we liked your demo. You'll know if we liked it.
What should be included with our demo or promo pack?
Obviously the demo/promo itself, a bio, list of recent shows/tours, band pic, contact information, and anything else that you think will grab our attention.
Do you accept demo/promo packages electronically?
Yes, feel free to email info about your band including mp3 attachments or links to your web site or myspace page.
Will you listen/review our music and let us know what you think?
No, if you're looking for a review, then send it to a zine.
Do you send promos to magazines for review and radio stations for airplay?
Yes, if you run a zine or radio station, please contact us with your infomation induding shipping address and some sort of information / proof of existence about your magazine or radio station.
Do you book shows or will you help my band get on a tour?
No, we do not book shows and we only work with bands in our roster with shows and touring.
What is the symbol I see on your web site?
The symbol used on our web site is the international symbol for blood-borne biohazard.
Wholesale Buyer Questions
Do you offer wholesale rates?
For labels, distros, stores, and other wholesale buyers, we do offer wholesale rates on our releases only. And depending on availability, we also offer wholesale rates on our mechandise. Please contact us via email for wholesale rate information.
How much will shipping cost on my wholesale order?
Our wholesale rates include shipping worldwide.
Are your releases shipped in jewel cases on wholesale purchases?
If they are being shipped within the US, then yes. If they are being shipped outside the US, then no. If you require them to be shipped in jewel cases, let us know when you contact us.
